MandolinThomas Buchanan's folkmandolin

Over the years Thomas has built many fine instruments including Harps, Hurdygurdys and guitars. Then in 1998 Thomas was commissioned to produce this unique range of mandolin family instruments to be distributed through music shops in the U.K. Since then they have proven themselves extremely popular with many musicians with all kinds of musical tastes.

Octive MandolaInstruments listed here are available in Mahogany, North American Quilted Maple or Indian rosewood and finished in a satin or high gloss lacquer. Other timbers can be commisioned by special order

Fronts are built in either Western red Cedar , European or Engelman Spruce . Fingerboards can be Rosewood or Ebony

Schaller machines with pearl type buttons for the mandolin and die cast machines for the others then finished in a high gloss lacquer. Bone nuts and bridges together with mother of pearl position markers complete these stunning instruments.
